PAYMENT TERMS

40% to confirm, 60% on completion

A 40% deposit confirms your custom order and authorises planning, supplier ordering and production. The remaining 60% balance is payable on completion of installation.

FIRST 12 MONTHS

Full product and installation cover

For eligible faults during the first 12 months, Dola will arrange repair or replacement at no additional charge, including reasonable labour, attendance and re-installation.

YEARS 2–3

Limited product warranty

For eligible faults from year two to year three, Dola provides the replacement part or product at no product charge. Customers pay only the pre-approved service, travel, labour and re-installation costs.

AFTERCARE

Support beyond the warranty period

If a request is outside warranty, we can still assist. We will provide a clear base quote before arranging any chargeable attendance, repair or replacement work.

DOLA WRITTEN WARRANTY

Coverage for your window furnishings

This warranty applies to eligible Dola-supplied curtains, curtain tracks, roller blinds, plantation shutters, motorised tracks, Dooya motors, remotes and related operating components.

First 12 months — Full warranty

For the first 12 months from installation completion, Dola Curtain Brisbane will repair or replace eligible faulty Dola-supplied products and components at no additional charge.

Where the issue is covered, this includes reasonable labour, attendance and re-installation required to complete the remedy.

Years 2 and 3 — Limited warranty

From the second to the third year, Dola Curtain Brisbane will provide an eligible replacement part or replacement product at no product charge where a covered manufacturing or component fault is confirmed.

Customers are responsible for the quoted cost of attendance, travel, labour, re-installation and any other service costs required to complete the work. We will provide a written quote before any chargeable work is arranged.

Supply-only, customer-measured or customer-installed orders

Supply-only orders are covered for manufacturing defects in the product during the first 12 months from delivery.

They are not covered for incorrect measurements, fit, installation, wall or ceiling conditions, labour, travel, attendance, re-installation, customer handling damage or issues caused by customer installation.

Supply-only, customer-measured or customer-installed orders are not eligible for Dola’s years 2–3 limited warranty.

Situations outside the written warranty

The written warranty does not usually cover issues caused by conditions outside product manufacture or Dola’s installation work.

  • Fabric fading, ageing or colour change caused by sunlight, moisture, mould, smoke, salt air or unsuitable cleaning products
  • Natural fabric variations in weave, texture, dye batch, colour or appearance under different lighting
  • Damage caused by pets, pests, accidents, impact, pulling, forcing or misuse
  • Damage caused by renovations, painting, water leaks, building movement or changes to walls, ceilings and window frames
  • Products altered, adjusted, removed or repaired by anyone other than Dola Curtain Brisbane or a Dola-approved installer
  • Electrical supply issues, flat remote batteries, Wi-Fi problems, smart-home connection changes or third-party app issues
  • Customer-provided measurements, customer-supplied products or customer installation
  • Change-of-mind requests after an order has been accepted

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

CUSTOM-MADE FOR YOUR HOME

Changes, cancellations and returns

01

Confirming your order

A 40% deposit is required to accept a quotation, confirm the custom order and authorise planning, supplier ordering and production.

02

If you change your mind

The 40% deposit is non-refundable if a customer cancels an accepted custom order, whether or not supplier ordering or production has commenced. Custom-made curtains, blinds and shutters are produced specifically for the customer’s approved measurements, fabric, finish and installation requirements. They are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges.

03

If there is a fault

If a product is faulty, not as agreed or does not meet a consumer guarantee, please contact Dola Curtain Brisbane. We will assess the issue and provide the appropriate remedy where required.

Custom-made does not remove your consumer rights.

This policy applies to change-of-mind cancellations only. It does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Step 3

We assess the issue

We may troubleshoot remotely, request more details, arrange an inspection, or contact the relevant supplier where required.

Step 4

CARE & TROUBLESHOOTING

Looking after your curtains, blinds and shutters

For regular care, gently vacuum with a soft brush attachment or dust lightly. Avoid harsh chemicals, steam cleaning and soaking unless your product’s care instructions specifically allow it. Contact us before using a cleaning product on delicate fabrics.

Fabric colour and texture can appear different in daylight, indoor lighting and different rooms. Samples are a guide only, and small natural variations between fabric batches can occur.

Blockout fabric reduces light passing directly through the curtain fabric. Depending on the room, some light can still enter around the top, floor, centre opening or architectural features. During the measure, we recommend the best track position and coverage for the space.

Please do not force the product. Check that the area is clear and that no furniture, fabric or objects are obstructing movement. Send us a short video so we can guide you through safe checks or arrange an assessment.

Check the power source, remote batteries and connection instructions first. Do not disassemble motors or electrical components. Send us a video and your order details so we can help identify the next step.

Yes. We can often assist with adjustments, replacement parts, repair options and care advice. Any chargeable service will be quoted and approved before work is arranged.
